BASKIN' IN THE SUN
Senior forward Melanie Baskind leads Harvard with five goals and 16 points this season. Tomorrow, Baskind and the Crimson travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to face Cornell, a team it has not lost to since 2000.
A Perfect Finish
Junior Melanie Baskind scored two goals to help the Harvard women’s soccer team defeat Fairfield, 3-1, in its final game of the season. Coming out of halftime tied 1-1, the Crimson put the game away with an offensive surge led by Baskind and a defensive shutdown from sophomore goalkeeper AJ Millet. With the win, Harvard finishes its season with a 9-7-1 record.
Mann on Fire
Senior goalkeeper Lauren Mann started all 17 games this year, making 69 saves and recording three shutouts as Harvard went 9-7-1.
Body Found at Peabody Terrace
A body was found at Peabody Terrrace this past weekend. Residents of Mather Tower facing Flagg St. face the housing complex's parking lot which were police cars and fire trucks Friday evening. Peabody Terrace is bounded by Flagg St., Banks St., Memorial Drive and Akron St.
Crime on the T Decreases
The MBTA has reported a 30% decrease in crime on the T. Two people hurry to catch their respective trains on the State stop on the Blue line.
