Last Saturday at Harvard Stadium, the Crimson added another win to the season’s record, going up to 5-0 (2-0 Ivy) with a commanding 31–7 victory over in-state rival Merrimack. The win propelled Harvard up the national rankings, climbing to No. 14 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 17 in the FCS Coaches Top 25.

At Princeton Stadium, the Crimson improved to 6-0 (3-0 Ivy) with an impressive 35–14 victory over the Tigers in front of Princeton’s homecoming crowd on Saturday. This was the first time Harvard has won at Princeton since 2016. The win lifted Harvard to No. 12 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 15 in the FCS Coaches Top 25, keeping their undefeated season alive and championship hopes strong.

More than 100,000 people gathered at Boston Common on Saturday afternoon for the No Kings protest, according to event organizers. The demonstration was part of a nationwide day of action opposing President Donald J. Trump and his administration’s policies. Lasting from noon to 3 p.m., the protest was organized by a coalition of activist groups including Indivisible Massachusetts, Mass 50501, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts.

The 53rd Annual Evening with Champions took place last Friday and Saturday at the Harvard Bright-Landry Hockey Center. The student-run annual fundraiser brings together figure skaters from across the globe to raise money for The Jimmy Fund, the fundraising arm of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The organization has raised over $3 million since its inauguration.

On Sunday afternoon, students gathered in Tercentenary Theater for the College Events Board’s annual outdoor music festival Yardfest. The College made a series of changes to the event this year, including moving it from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and instituting no-guest and no-re-entry policies.
Harvard Then and Now
In “Walden,” Henry David Thoreau asks, “Why do precisely these objects which we behold make a world?” This project by photographer Özdemir Vayısoğlu seeks to contrast the worlds created by two distinct generations of Harvard students mainly through objects they owned. Through pairs of photos, it illustrates how Harvard’s campus has transformed since the late 19th and early 20th century, reflecting the epistemological value of everyday objects we behold for understanding our ever-changing world with a historical perspective, and thereby, providing a visual archaeology of how material culture has changed Harvard over the last century.
