On Feb. 22 at Paine Hall, the Harvard Composers Association presented “New Works,” a concert in collaboration with the Juventas New Music Ensemble premiering original pieces from undergraduate classical composers.

Tsang started off the discussion by asking attendees, "are men and women fundamentally different?".
Preventing Nuclear Terrorism
Laura Holgate, Senior Director of WMD Terrorism and Threat Reduction, gives her opinion on the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit during the panel, "Preventing Nuclear Terrorism: Prospects for the Upcoming Summit" at the IOP on March 3. Holgate explained how nuclear terrorism is a result of "motivation, capability, and opportunity."
Something New
Mouin Rabbani, specialist on Palestinian affairs and the Arab-Israeli conflict, leads a round table discussion "The Kerry Plan: Déjà Vu or Something New?" at HKS on March 3. Rabbani explained how there was a "forced integration... of the Palestinian economy into the Israeli state" and the ways in which Kerry's plan proposes a different approach.

The Crimson sits down with the Hasty Pudding Theatricals's composer Dylan MarcAurele ’16, writer Brian J. Mendel ’15, and actor Ethan D. Hardy ‘14 to get an idea of what went into the making of the latest iteration of a time-honored spectacle.
Medieval Music Lessons
The lecture-performance event, which took place Sunday, was a collaboration between Kelly and the Blue Heron Renaissance Choir. Kelly, a music professor who teaches the popular Gen Ed course “First Nights,” took his First Church audience through the processes that took Europe from “ut-re-mi” to polyphony, a musical texture Kelly describes as Western music’s greatest contribution to the world.

The Pudding's "Secret ": A Success
When 12 men put on heels and skirts and get on stage to belt puns and sexual innuendoes, it’s bound to be a good night. Hasty Pudding Theatricals has known this for 219 years, and the company did not disappoint in its 166th production, "Victorian Secrets," which will run until March 9 at Farkas Hall.
