Harvard graduate Max Perlman, who led the Ivy League in ERA his senior season, was selected by the Oakland Athletics Wednesday in the 35th round of the 2011 MLB draft.

Senior right-handed pitcher Max Perlman earned first-team All-Ivy honors this season, striking out 55 batters in 60 innings pitched. Perlman overcame elbow surgery in 2009 to finish his senior season with a 1.80 ERA.
