9:23 a.m.—An officer was sent to Byerly Hall because of a report alleging damaged property, which included three windows, a spotlight, and two air conditioning condensers. The damage was valued at $6,200.
10:06 a.m.—An officer investigated the theft of a green mountain bicycle worth $1,800 at Weld Hall. Four more bicycle thefts followed this one on the same day—two taken from Peabody Terrace, two taken from Harvard Hall.
April 20:
5:51 p.m.—An officer was flagged down and notified of a person “inappropriately touching” himself or herself while peering up people’s clothes on Mass. Ave and Dunster Street. The HUPD officer found the alleged self-fondler and turned him over to CPD.
7:55 p.m.—Reports about a local news station filming on Harvard property led HUPD officers to Mather House. The responding officer informed the crew that proper permits were required in order to film on campus. House security was put in charge of informing HUPD if the filming resumed illicitly.
11:34 p.m.—An officer responded to 1 Western Ave. in Allston because of the theft of a black computer bag, with contents worth a collective $3,850. The stolen items included a black IBM laptop computer, a calculator, a passport, and a checkbook.
April 21:
2:29 a.m.—An officer was sent to Hemenway Gymnasium to investigate the theft of an unsecured and unattended credit card, which had then been used to make fraudulent charges in amounts unknown to police at that time.
