CPD POLICE LOG

—A resident of Somerville reported taking a cab from Faneuil Hall sometime between Aug. 9 at 11:00 p.m. and Aug. 10 at 2:00 a.m. while he was very intoxicated. He had argued with the taxi driver because he did not have enough money to cover his fare. He said he next remembered being in Harvard Square, his wallet and cell phone missing.

—A resident of Harvard Street reported leaving her purse at Au Bon Pain, 684 Massachusetts Ave. Her purse was gone when she returned to Au Bon Pain a short time afterward.

—A resident of Oxford Street reported that a white male outside 24 Broadway said to her, “Do you want to do a composition? I’ll pay you good money.” She stated that he was obviously attempting to solicit for sex.

August 11:

6:30 p.m.—A Dorchester resident reported and named a suspect who threatened to shoot him if the suspect ever saw him in Cambridge again.

11:05 p.m.— Police received a report from a Carlisle St. resident that her green 2000 Dodge Intrepid was stolen on Aug. 8.

August 12:

4:30 p.m.—Kristin Doyle of 3 Malcolm Rd. was arrested on Aug. 12 at 1 Porter Sq. after she was observed opening two DVDs and putting one in her shirt and one down the front of her pants.

11:15 p.m.—detectives were watching suspects involved with drugs. The suspects noticed the officers and fled. The officers chased them, and a short struggle ensued. One suspect said he couldn’t breathe, and the officers removed a white paper they had observed in his mouth. The paper turned out to be a Dunkin Donuts napkin with ten plastic bags labeled “On Fire” which contained a brownish substance, later determined to be heroin.

—A Cambridge resident reported that at 1 p.m. a fellow tenant, a 33-year-old white male, stomped downstairs shouting that he was going to break her neck.

—A resident reported that between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 11, unknown parties entered his apartment, stealing Palm Pilot, a digital camera, a digital camcorder, a laptop computer and two bracelets. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 13:

3:45 p.m.—A Putnam Avenue resident reported that a 15-year-old female staying at her house stole about 40 prescription pills from her drawer. The suspect was later taken into police custody.

9:45 p.m.—A Remington Street resident reported that on Aug. 11, her apartment was broken into. Soon afterwards, she found a tape recorder hooked up to her phone hidden in a cooking pot. Detectives were notified.

—A Roxbury resident reported that a suspect who had stayed at his home stole 10 of his personal checks. The suspect then cashed the checks at Cambridgeport Bank, 689 Mass. Ave. for a total of $1770. The bank was notified and surveillance video of the suspect has been obtained.
