August 7:

2:10 p.m.—An employee of Sunglass Hut reported that she believed a co-worker had stolen a $100 pair of Versace sunglasses.

9:50 p.m.—A resident of Magazine Street reported having an argument with her boyfriend. She asked that the argument be documented.

—A resident of Kirkland Street reported that an unknown person had obtained her personal information and spent $1,742 on two purchases at Coach.

—An employee of Sunglass Hut at 18 John F. Kennedy St. reported that on Aug. 6 an unknown person stole two pairs of Oakley sunglasses which had been left on a display case.

August 8:

6:50 p.m.— Souleymane Sagna of 55 Howard St. was arrested after police received complaints that he was hitting children with a stick. After speaking with the involved people, the police determined that no one was struck.

—A Cambridge resident reported that persons unknown placed dog feces on his front porch and chairs, and later returned to place chicken guts on his porch.

—A Somerville resident reported that in the late afternoon, persons unknown gained entry into her car, which was parked on the third floor of the Galleria mall. Three hundred compact discs and a faceplate for a Pioneer car stereo were stolen.

August 9:

—A resident reported that while working out at 5 Bennett St., persons unknown entered his locker and removed two credit cards. The cards were then used to make purchases in excess of $2000.

—Steven Brimage of Boston and Wendy Barnett of 36 Pearl St., Cambridge, were arrested for possession and distribution of drugs. They were apprehended at One Central Square by the Cambridge narcotics unit.

—An employee of 288 Harvard St. reported that the building was broken into via side window; no items were found missing. There have been three prior break-ins.

August 10:

—A resident of Whittier Street reported that he received two phone calls from a business in Florida on Aug. 6 at 5:30 a.m. and on Aug. 10 at 7:40 a.m. Nobody spoke during the two phone calls.

—A resident of Somerville reported taking a cab from Faneuil Hall sometime between Aug. 9 at 11:00 p.m. and Aug. 10 at 2:00 a.m. while he was very intoxicated. He had argued with the taxi driver because he did not have enough money to cover his fare. He said he next remembered being in Harvard Square, his wallet and cell phone missing.

—A resident of Harvard Street reported leaving her purse at Au Bon Pain, 684 Massachusetts Ave. Her purse was gone when she returned to Au Bon Pain a short time afterward.

—A resident of Oxford Street reported that a white male outside 24 Broadway said to her, “Do you want to do a composition? I’ll pay you good money.” She stated that he was obviously attempting to solicit for sex.

August 11:

6:30 p.m.—A Dorchester resident reported and named a suspect who threatened to shoot him if the suspect ever saw him in Cambridge again.

11:05 p.m.— Police received a report from a Carlisle St. resident that her green 2000 Dodge Intrepid was stolen on Aug. 8.

August 12:

4:30 p.m.—Kristin Doyle of 3 Malcolm Rd. was arrested on Aug. 12 at 1 Porter Sq. after she was observed opening two DVDs and putting one in her shirt and one down the front of her pants.

11:15 p.m.—detectives were watching suspects involved with drugs. The suspects noticed the officers and fled. The officers chased them, and a short struggle ensued. One suspect said he couldn’t breathe, and the officers removed a white paper they had observed in his mouth. The paper turned out to be a Dunkin Donuts napkin with ten plastic bags labeled “On Fire” which contained a brownish substance, later determined to be heroin.

—A Cambridge resident reported that at 1 p.m. a fellow tenant, a 33-year-old white male, stomped downstairs shouting that he was going to break her neck.

—A resident reported that between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 11, unknown parties entered his apartment, stealing Palm Pilot, a digital camera, a digital camcorder, a laptop computer and two bracelets. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 13:

3:45 p.m.—A Putnam Avenue resident reported that a 15-year-old female staying at her house stole about 40 prescription pills from her drawer. The suspect was later taken into police custody.

9:45 p.m.—A Remington Street resident reported that on Aug. 11, her apartment was broken into. Soon afterwards, she found a tape recorder hooked up to her phone hidden in a cooking pot. Detectives were notified.

—A Roxbury resident reported that a suspect who had stayed at his home stole 10 of his personal checks. The suspect then cashed the checks at Cambridgeport Bank, 689 Mass. Ave. for a total of $1770. The bank was notified and surveillance video of the suspect has been obtained.

August 14:

12:44 a.m.—A resident reported an argument between one of the residents and a Charlestown resident. The Charlestown resident had threatened to burn the house down and was observed throwing gas at the front entrance of the house.

1:25 a.m.—A resident reported that an unknown black male broke a window while horsing around with friends. He was confronted, and he stated that he would pay for the damages.

—A Kinnelon, N.J. resident reported that sometime the night of Aug. 10 unknown parties broke the front passenger side window of his car while it was parked on Charles Street.

—A Worcester resident reported that on Aug. 8 someone went to the Fleet Bank located at 615 Concord Avenue (Fresh Pond), forged his signature and withdrew $2,200 from his savings account.
