July 7:
10:30 a.m.--A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer issued a trespass warning for all University property to an individual who was identified as the suspect in an “open and gross” incident which occurred on June 26. According to police records, the incident reportedly involved a person committing a lewd act while looking into the reporting party’s window at the Leverett House Towers. The suspect was described as a 30-year-old white male.
1:27 p.m.--An officer was dispatched to the Charles River after receiving a report that individuals had been videotaped. A search for the cameraperson turned up negative.
July 8:
4:46 p.m.--An HUPD officer was dragged by a motor vehicle near Kirkland House after attempting to speak to the driver. The officer arrested 26-year-old Francis Perullo of Salem, Mass. for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
10:01 p.m.--An officer was sent to Straus Hall to investigate a fire alarm. The fire allegedly started when two male intruders burned a charcoal bag.
July 9:
7:33 a.m.--An officer extinguished a small fire at the Littauer Center that appeared to be started by a cigarette tossed into mulch.
4:11 p.m.--An HUPD officer was sent to the Pound Building after receiving a report of a suspicious person who left a duffle bag behind. The bag was impounded.
9:02 p.m.--An officer was sent to investigate suspicious people in the basement area of the Jefferson Laboratory. The officer determined that the individuals were summer school students.
July 10:
11:45 a.m.--An officer took a report of a stolen laptop computer at Baker Library.
11:06 p.m.--A detective conducted a field interview with individuals acting suspiciously at the Malkin Athletic Center. After a warrant check turned up negative, the officer sent the individuals on their way.
July 11:
11:46 a.m.--An officer filed a report of a stolen jacket and flowers at Widener Library.
