11:35 a.m.--HUPD received a report of shoplifting from CitySports. Police stopped John Lockett, 37, homeless of Cambridge, on Bow Street, who was positively identified by the reporting caller. He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana and shoplifting.
April 4:
9:52 a.m.--A caller reported a suspicious person wandering around the construction site at the Fogg Art Museum. Police responded and removed the individual, although he refused to identify himself.
April 5:
12:13 p.m.--A car broadsided an HUPD cruiser on Memorial Drive. HUPD units and the Massachusetts State Police both responded to the scene with rescue units. The cruiser sustained major damage, and the officer involved was taken to the hospital. He is continuing to recuperate at home.
7:04 p.m.--Police responded to a dispute in the Kirkland House dining hall involving employees. The matter will be handled internally.
7:15 p.m.--Police received a report of a man in the Yard soliciting students. HUPD stopped him and a check showed an outstanding warrant. Nathaniel Day, 19, of New Bedford, was placed under arrest.
