ANNAPOLIS, MD.--Sophomore quarterback Gary McIntosh ran 51 and 45 yards for touchdowns yesterday to spark Navy to a 41-7 rout over winless Yale.
The loss drops Yale to 0-2-1 (0-0-1 Ivy) on the season. After tying Yale, 24-24, in the season-opener, the Elis have been outscored 82-7 in the last two weeks.
Ted Fundoukos kicked field goals of 26 and 38 yards in the game, the first between Navy and Yale since 1981. Yale leads the series, 5-4-1.
Yale's Kevin Callahan capped an 86-yard scoring drive with a 2-yard touchdown dive with 7:53 remaining in the first half for the Elis' only score of the game.
McIntosh, who had 99 of his 103 yards rushing in the first half, swept left on Navy's sixth play of the second quarter and bolted 45 yards for his first touchdown to make it 17-0.
