Merry-go-Round

The French Casino (7th Ave. and 50th) presents a spectacular floor show in the real Parisian manner. Jack Denny plays. There is a minimum charge of $3.50 on Saturdays.

Greenwich Village

For a more informal roisterous evening, we suggest in colorful Greenwich Village:

The Village Barn (52 W. 8th) which caters to a college crowd. A rustic barn, the walls of which are covered with college pennants and hay, but the floor of which is smooth for dancing. You'll meet all your friends.

The Greenwich Village Inn (5 Sheridan Sq.). Good music, large dance floor, intriguing fan and bubble dances before deep blue spotlights.

Then there's the Brewery (186 W. 4th) and the ever crowded Pepper Pot (146 W. 4th). For a bit of Spain you might try El Chico (80 Grove St.)

Dance Hall Dives

Wandering stages this weekend will find a lively evening in Broadway's several dance halls. Of which we select:

Orpheum Dance Paiaco (46th and Broadway) is well known as a place to see and a place to be seen. Not bad at all.

Roseland Ball Room (51st and Broadway) beats of Fletcher Henderson and one hundred (100) beautiful hostesses (100). A rosy glow prevails over all.

The Silver Slipper (Broadway and W. 48th) beats a bevy of beauties.

Congress (51st and Broadway). A cabaret with a gigantic dance floor and show. There are clever dance arrangements complete with harp by the orchestra of Bob Sylvester, who formerly arranged for Hal Kemp.
