The second football mass meeting of the year was held in the Living Room of the Union last evening. After a few of the old songs had been tried, H. L. Gaddis '12 spoke on the necessity of the undergraduate body standing back of the team, and L. Withington 1L. told what the team had done to give the undergraduate body confidence in it. He said that any team which could come back as the University team did at Princeton, with the line-up practically all substitutes, and score a touchdown against the strongest defensive team in the country, had the fighting spirit in it which wins games.
Five new songs were tried, three of which, "Harvard Spirit," "For Harvard," and "Onward to Victory" were provisionally selected. It was announced that at the Yale game an "H" will be formed in singing the "Marseillaise" as was done last year. Also that small individual megaphones would be used in the cheering section to increase the volume of the cheers.
