Johnson is somewhat clumsy. He does not swing straight and his stroke is short.
Agassiz rows fairly well but he also has a tendency to shorten his stroke and to break his arms too soon.
Frost does not keep his body up at the finish. He dips too deep and tries to hurry his finish.
Gratwick is rough in his movements and does not hold his body well at the finish.
Heard rows short and hurries his finish and does not hold his stroke long enough at the finish.
Agassiz and Frost are new men and as such are doing creditable work. They profit by the coaching and are showing signs of improvement. The crew as a whole is up to the average of class crews at this time of the year. They row fairly well together and are in good condition physically to begin their work on the river.
