'93, 17; '90, 5.The freshmen defeated the seniors yesterday in the last game of the class series. The seniors batted poorly and fielded wretchedly. In the first inning Codman was hit by a pitched ball, stole second and third, but was put out in attempting to come home on Mumford's sacrifice hit. Mumford got first on fielder's choice, stole second, and Piper got his base on balls, both coming home on Bates' hit. Faulkner flied out. '93 made two runs in this inning on 2 passed balls, a hit by Frothingham, and Faulkner's error. The seniors failed to score again until the sixth inning, when they made two runs off hits by McLeod, Piper and Faulkner. At the end of the sixth inning '93 had increased her lead four runs, making the score 14 to 4. The seniors made only one more run in the eighth inning, and Ninety-three did not bather ninth inning. The freshmen carried their team off the field and marched to the gymnasium behind a brass band. The features of the game were Manley's playing at short-stop and the doubleplay by McCoy, Piper and Aiken in the fourth inning. Dolan also accepted some difficult chances at third. The score was:
'90.
