Fact and Rumor.

A Yale graduate has offered a fifty dollar silver cup to be contested for by the mile runners. The runs are open to Yale men only, and the man who wins three times will become the permanent owner of the cup.

At the New Church Theological school, Rev. John Worcester will give a series of seven lectures on the creation, flood, and other Bible narrations spiritually understood, on Tuesday evenings, at 7.30, beginning March 10th. The public are invited.

At a mass meeting held at Princeton last Wednesday, Alan D. Willson, '91, was elected president of the foot ball association for the ensuing year. Professor Osborne, '77, Duncan Edwards, '84, and Thompson, '77, were elected members of the graduate advisory committee. No treasurer was elected.

The interscholastic athletic association of Boston will hold its first winter meeting in the Mechanics building next Saturday under the supervision of the Boston athletic association. Six schools are represented in the association. The number of entries for the different events is large, and a successful meeting is anticipated.

Representatives from the various boat clubs in New York city and vicinity met last Monday and effected an organization to be known as the New York Rowing association. The Atlantas, Berkeley athletic club, Crescents, and several other rowing and athletic clubs hold a membership in the association.
