There was a cut in Latin B yesterday.

There will be hour examinations today in Philosophy II, English 2.

There was an unannounced hour examination in French 5 yesterday.

There was an unannounced examination in History 1 yesterday morning.

The Glee club will sing at the Springfield assembly the night before the Yale game.

The results of the recent examination in English A will be announced today or tomorrow.

The second freshman eleven defeated the first eleven yesterday afternoon on Divinity by a score of 8 to 4.

The following men will have their conference in History 12 today: Healey, Roots, Bangs, Bell, Beer, W. G. Brown, Jerris, Eddy, Adams, J. S. Cook.

The meeting of the St. Paul's society announced for this evening has been postponed till Wednesday next November 20.

A limited number of settee seats will be placed on sale at Leavitt and Peirce's on Wednesday at 8 a. m. The settees will be just behind the ropes and as they are the best seats in the field a charge of 75 cents will be made for them. Absolutely no tickets will be exchanged for them.

J. A. LOWELL.The Camera club held a competitive exhibit of photographs taken by members, on Monday night. Gregory, '92, received the award for the best piece of work shown.

The eleven from the Roxbury Latin school, which was to have played a picked team yesterday afternoon, did not appear; so that the game has been indefinitely postponed.

Professor Putnam has received an image from Idaho taken from an artesian well at a great dep h. It is considered by good authorities a specimen of antediluvian art.

The Oxford-Cambridge chess match was won by the former, 7 games to 3. The annual contest was instituted in 1873, and Cambridge is now four matches and ten games ahead.

Professor Sumichrast has an article on the "Valkyrie" in the November Outing. Professor Sumichrast is an authority on yachting matters and the holder of a captain's certificate.
