Sophomore theme VIII is due on Thursday.

There will be a recitation on Iron in Chemistry 1 this week.

The marks in Chemistry I are out. The maximum is 275.

Mr. James Loeb, '88, has been elected a regular editor of the CRIMSON.

The marks in Philosophy 3 are out. The average is about 80 per cent.

There will be no recitations in Greek 15 this half year. Theses will be substituted.

The prayer petition is sent in to-day. There are 903 affirmative names affixed:

Prof. W. T. Harris, a well-known authority on educational matters, visited the college on Friday last.

Mr. T. C. Batchelder will not be a contestant for the general excellence prize in the winter meetings this year.

The annual dinner of the CRIMSON was held last evening at Parker's. A large number of past editors were present.

About sixty members of History 2 have elected History 18 for the last half year in order to make up the whole full course.

The Delta Upsilon annual banquet was held at Young's last evening. There was a large attendance of past members.

A series of colored maps of the United States illustrative of the different presidential elections are being prepared by the students in History 13.

The winter sports of the Union Athletic Club were held yesterday afternoon in Lyceum Hall. A large number of Harvard men were present. Ham and biscuits were provided free of charge.
