BOSTON 23, YALE 3.The Yale nine went entirely to pieces in Saturday's game with the Bostons. The errors were numerous, and Atwood, the Yale pitcher, was pounded badly. Buffington pitched for the Bostons. Below is the score by innings :

BASE-BALL NOTES.The Adams Academy nine will play the Exeter nine on the Boston grounds on May 28th.
Several menbers of the Brown nine were present at the game with the Walthams on Saturday.
The Holyokes will play a practice game with the Reserves at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Buckland Park.
Mr. Crocker, '85, went to Springfield on Saturday to attend a meeting of base-ball representatives from the different colleges.
The game between the Yale and Metropolitan nines last Wednesday lasted but one hour and fourteen minutes, one of the shortest games on record.

The Sunday Globe reports the following :
"Captain Morrill, being asked his opinion of the college nines, said : 'Brown is the strongest college team we have met, though today's game I hardly consider a fair specimen of Yale's playing.' "
The freshmen endeavored to arrange a game with the Technology nine for Wednesday, last, but were informed that a game had been arranged with the Adams Academy nine. The Technology failed to appear at the appointed time, at Quincy and have not as yet sent any explanation.
