An amendment to the bill proposed by Mike Pence of Indiana would cut all of Planned Parenthood's federal funding, reducing the organization's budget by 40 percent. Walk for Choice participants hoped to underscore the notion that this budget does not only fund abortions, but also cervical cancer screenings and contraceptive visits.
