It's everyone's favorite time of year again—flu season.
To help guard against winter viruses, Harvard University Health Services offers free flu shots to anyone with a Harvard ID. Until Dec. 18, show up on the second floor of HUHS in the Holyoke Center on a Monday or Tuesday between 12 and 3 p.m. to get your shot.
Want to get yourself vaccinated, but don't feel like making your way to the Holyoke Center? UHS nurses will be coming to a dining hall near you in October. Flu shots will be given in Annenberg on Sept. 26 and Oct. 2, Currier on Oct. 3, Eliot on Oct. 9, Leverett on Oct. 17, Lowell on Oct. 15 (in the Junior Common Room), and Mather on Oct. 11. They will be there administering shots from 5 to 8 p.m. each night.
Sure, getting your flu shot in a dining hall doesn't sound appealing, but it's better than getting the flu in a dining hall. If you do get sick, stop by the HUHS pharmacy to claim a free cold kit stocked with cough drops, antihistamines, and disposable thermometers.
