Men's Tennis Posts Strong Results Against BYU, Tennessee, and Bryant

Tao and Yeung’s marathon wins did not win Harvard the match, however, and the only other Crimson point of the day came from a doubles win from Morrow and Weber at third doubles.

Harvard 6, BYU 1

On Friday, Harvard started the weekend off with a strong showing against BYU. The Crimson took the doubles point early on with wins from Yeung and Tao at first doubles, as well as Beltrame and Thirouin at second doubles.

On the singles side, Beltrame earned his second victory of the day with a straight-set shutout of his BYU opponent. Tao, Yeung, Solomon and Thirouin also knocked out two-set victories, with Thirouin recording his team best third singles win of the season.

“Against BYU I think we clicked as a team, and it seemed every one of us were playing well,” Tao said. “It isn’t often that you’ll see a match where we are winning on every court, but it seemed that way against BYU.”
