Police Respond to Reported Shooting Near School of Public Health

The Boston Police Department responded to a reported shooting near 90 Smith Street—a building that houses some administrative offices for the School of Public Health—Tuesday morning.{shortcode-63d5c0eded21e48eebf9a4b18d5340e042e6cf85}

In an email sent to Harvard affiliates around 10 a.m., Harvard University Police Department Deputy Chief of Police Kevin W. Regan wrote that Boston police officers were investigating and the suspects involved were no longer in the area.

According to the BPD, the shooting occurred at around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Turquoise Way, roughly three blocks from the administrative offices of the School of Public Health. No injuries were reported and no description of the suspect was available.

In an email at 11:20 a.m., Regan stated that the BPD had concluded its investigation into the shooting and that everything had returned to "normal."
