MOUN-DON’T-MISSI

Coming off the bench five minutes in, Moundou-Missi was a force in the paint, leading Harvard with a season-high 17 points. The sophomore, who started the first five games of the season but was then sent to the bench after failing to put up big points, has earned more playing time as he develops as a threat on both ends.

Moundou-Missi added a team-high six rebounds—five on defense—and racked up only two fouls in a season-high 30 minutes of play. The forward ran into foul trouble last weekend, notching four personals in each game, but tonight his clean play allowed Amaker to leave him in down the stretch.

In an efficient display, Mondou-Missi shot six-of-seven from the field—including three dunks.

But perhaps more surprising was the sophomore’s performance from the stripe. Moundou-Missi went to the line six times and missed only once, hitting four key free throws in the final two minutes.

As the crowd became engaged down the stretch, Moundou-Missi credited his team with keeping its composure.

“It was a great game for us,” Moundou-Missi said. “Tonight was different it because it was a hostile environment. It was a good game, and I wouldn’t say it’s a statement, but it is a great win for us.”
