Angelico N. A. Razon ’08, who has worked as a homework helper and mentor for elementary school students in Chinatown since his freshman year, will next year lead the Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA), Harvard’s umbrella public service organization.

“I really want to make [PBHA] accessible to both students and community members,” Razon said.

Razon was one of nine undergraduates elected to top posts at the 102-year-old organization last Wednesday night.

Razon will begin his tenure as president this February, taking the reins from incumbent Alicia Rodriguez ’07. “The officers coming in for next year have a really good understanding of PBHA and a really strong vision for the organization,” Rodriguez said.

Razon will work alongside the association’s newly elected executive vice president, Francis S. Assaf ’08. Other members of the new board include the secretary-elect, Sussan Lee ’09; the incoming programming chairs, Connie E. Chen ’08 and Sabrina M. Forte ’08; the incoming resource development chairs, Henry C. Agbo ’09 and Jessica-Kate O. Ogungbadero ’09; the incoming events fundraiser, Jennifer E. Graham ’08-’09; and the incoming student development chair, Emily M. Parrott ’09.

The group’s 78 programming groups involve nearly 2,000 students and reach almost 10,000 people in the Greater Boston area, according to the association’s Web site.
