12:16 a.m.—Officers were sent to D entryway of Wigglesworth to track down the source of a smell of smoke—reportedly smoke from marijuana. The officers’ search proved unsuccessful.

7:29 p.m.—A yell for help brought police to Peabody Terrace. But, upon arrival, the officers did not locate anyone in need of assistance.

May 26:

12:18 a.m.—Officers were notified of a bevy of runners sprinting down the halls of the building at 10 DeWolfe St. The midnight dashers—who had been heard on the fourth or fifth floor—were gone by the time police arrived.

12:05 p.m.—An “unwanted guest” named John J. Lenahan, 50, was placed under arrest for trespassing in Hauser Hall. Police were unable to find a listed home address for Lenahan.

May 27:

6:33 p.m.—A sick man defecated behind the John Harvard Statue, sending officers to the Yard to investigate the bowel mishap. Police assisted in the cleanup.

9:02 p.m.—Officers reported to Thayer Hall in response to three people who had allegedly entered a student’s room while he or she was sleeping. When asked to leave by the room’s occupant, the trio obeyed. Police arrived on the scene, questioned the perpetrators, and sent them on their way.

10:39 p.m.—Officers were sent to Gund Hall because of a report about three people who had allegedly been eyeing the bicycle rack. Police spoke to the group, confiscated their bicycle, and drove them home.

May 28:

5:07 p.m.—A Harvard affiliate flagged down an officer after the theft of a wallet that had been swiped from his or her parked car on 10 DeWolfe St.

11:34 p.m.—An officer investigated the theft of a $1,900 IBM ThinkPad laptop in Thayer Hall.

May 29:

3:46 p.m.—Officers searched Harvard Yard for a person reportedly rifling through other people’s luggage on the morning undergraduates were required to vacate their dorms. The search was unsuccessful.

6:08 p.m.—One black and one green suitcase filled with clothing, a Sony Discman, and various compact discs were stolen outside of Leverett House.
