W. Hoops Wins Without Cserny

While Harvard shot 61 percent in the second half, it opened the game completely out of sync, hitting two field goals and scoring only four points in the first 6:15. Luckily for the Crimson, Central Connecticut was not much better, committing six turnovers and netting seven points in that same stretch.

Sloppy play abounded throughout the first half, with the Blue Devils going on to register 13 turnovers and Harvard handing over 11 of their own.

The Crimson would total 23 turnovers on the night, the fifth time this young season that Harvard has had more than 20 in a game.

“We’re going to have to keep working on it,” Delaney-Smith said.

Despite this, the Crimson did move the ball around well, recording a season-high 23 assists. Murphy led the team with seven, adding five points and five boards, and sophomore forward Christiana Lackner dished five helpers while scoring six and grabbing four boards.
