The take-home message from both Burke and from Clayton’s father is that the CIA is a place, we learn, where you live and die without being known or recognized.
These organization kids, fresh out of college, keep going regardless, uprooted in a fast-paced world of trickery and gadgets, living a life they barely seem to have chosen.
This is where I get to my notion that perhaps this movie really does have a point after all—could this be some sort of deep statement about the state of the world today?
Nahhh. Not really. As my movie date would say, I’m overanalyzing.
But the car chase, that was cool.
