Guster Booked To Give Concert Next Month

And by many accounts, the hard work seems to have been worth the effort.

“I’m so excited,” Emily J. Dupraz ’05 said after hearing that Guster would be coming to campus. “I’m really pleased the Undergraduate Council managed to get such a big-name band for so cheap.”

“We’re incredibly excited about this,” HCC member Laura E. Weidman ’04 said. “We expect this to be a jumping-off point for larger concerts in other genres, as well.”

The Harvard Box Office will sell the first 1,500 Guster tickets to undergraduates for $18 each, and to other Harvard affiliates for $22 each.

Guster, an “acoustic-pop threesome,” is a regular on the college campus circuit—hitting everywhere from Yale to the University of California at Berkeley.

But their reputation has not always preceded them.

“I don’t know anyone by the name of Guster,” David L. Blazar ’06 said.
