Oct. 31

5:11 a.m.—A HUPD officer was sent to Harvard Yard to investigate a report of two individuals walking through the Yard carrying a wine bottle. The suspects were gone when the officer arrived.

2:18 p.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to Widener Library to take a report of two stolen books.

Nov. 1

1:11 p.m.—A HUPD officer was directed to the Holyoke Center to investigate a suspicious letter. EHS responded and impounded the letter.

7:57 p.m.—HUPD officers were sent to the Fairchild Lab to check on a report of a suspicious letter. EHS took the letter into custody.

Last week, as in the last few, a plurality of calls to HUPD have been associated with concern over anthrax. Between Oct. 28 and Nov. 1, 19 of 60 total calls to HUPD were about suspicious mail or powder. As of yet, no anthrax has been found at Harvard.
