According to results of an April Zogby's Poll posted on Nader's website, his preliminary efforts seem to be paying off. According to the poll, Nader has the support of 5.7 percent of likely voters. This was above the level of support Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan commanded in the same poll.
One of Nader's main issues this election will be campaign finance reform. In his MIT speech, he said the current system is plagued with problems.

"You buy the politicians," Nader told the crowd in May. "And if you can't buy them, you rent them on the installment plan."
