In an ideal world where the wheels of bureacracy were well-oiled, we might be able to renovate the Core to the point where it would be all it can be, but until then, all I ask for is a simple improvement: Let TFs teach classes they truly know how to teach. If there aren't enough graduate students to go around, cap the enrollment, listen to the whines of lotteried students and tell them that they're better off taking something else this term. Better yet, the Faculty should take another good long look at the Core and try to move it up the priority list.
