Maine junior Nick Dimitrakos scored two goals in that period, one less than the amount of shots Brown was allowed to get off in the stanza.
UM-Mankato 7, Vermont 5
Vermont was beaten in the opening round of the Classic on its own ice Saturday night, falling by a score of 7-5 to the University of Minnesota- Mankato (6-7-0, 5-7-0 WCHA).
