A Democratic Perversity

All this goes to say that no matter who wins the White House, one thing is clear: Most of the public no longer makes informed political judgements. Instead, voters cast their ballots on media-made premises that bear little resemblance to the actual role the executive plays in governing. Democracy, usually the aid of Democrats, has failed them this time. And what a price we will pay.
