M. Hockey Splits Weekend

Harvard and Yale combine to feature four sets of brothers and share other family bonds. Harvard, of course, has the Moores (Mark, Steve, and Dominc) and the Nowaks (Derek and Brett). Yale's fraternity has the Chyzs (John and James) and the Sproules (Mark and David). Mark and David's older brother Doug Sproule '98 played for the Crimson. Also, Eli sophomore Spencer Rodger's older brother Clayton graduated Harvard last year and was a little used member of the team.

Captain Trevor Allman played in his 100th career game Friday against Yale.

Brett Nowak played both nights this weekend despite Mazzoleni's indication that he might rest him after playing for Team USA at the World Junior Championships. Nowak picked up one point in the tournament, assisting on a power play goal in a 1-1 draw with Team Canada on New Year's Eve. The Americans finished a surprising fourth, dropping to Canada, 4-3 in the bronze medal game.
