MacArthur Hall Offers Executive Education Students Post Living Quarters

"The idea is that you don't want the bedroom to be so huge that they'll never come out," said James E. Aisner '68, an HBS spokesperson.

Aisner said that, while the rooms in MacArthur Hall bear little resemblance to undergraduate housing, this level of comfort is necessary in order to compete with other schools.

The building is named for John H. MacArthur, dean of HBS from 1980-1995. It was dedicated last week in a ceremony that drew President Neil L. Rudenstine and World Bank President James D. Wolfensohn, and HBS MBA alumnus.

The building can house 170 residents at one time.
