"Something that we've learned this season is that we can make mistakes and then still be able to come back later," Jellison said. "We've learned that we can shrug it off and come back a better team."
Instead of falling behind early again, the Crimson reversed the trend of the first two games by taking an early 3-0 lead over the Wildcats in Game 3. After Harvard gained a 14-7 advantage over the Wildcats, UNH closed the gap to 14-10 before Harvard forced a side-out. Denniston then served the game-winner for the Crimson.
The Crimson will host the Harvard Invitational this weekend at the Malkin Athletic Center, playing Siena on Friday afternoon and Marist and SUNY-Stony Brook on Saturday.
The Harvard Invitational will serve as the team's final tune-up before the Ivy League Championships at Dartmouth next weekend. After beating Brown and losing to Yale in a crucial Ivy League homestand this weekend, Harvard earned the No. 3 spot at the tournament.
"We've played all of those teams [Marist, Siena, and Stony Brook] before," Jellison said. "We know who we're up against and what they can do, but we definitely want to play the best that we can before the Ivies. We really want to be able to execute well this weekend and prepare for the tournament."
After its confidence-booster against UNH last night, Harvard should be ready for the big pageant at home this weekend.
