Pennsylvania (5-2-1, 2-1 Ivy) bounced back from a heart-breaking loss to the Crimson at the Harvard Invitational Saturday afternoon by defeating Boston University the following day by a score of 3-2.
Freshman defender Jennifer Valentine scored her first goal of the season Sunday as the Quakers rolled to a 3-2 win over the Terriers.
The Quakers missed a golden opportunity to gain a tie or even outright lead of the Ivy standings when it lost to the Crimson Saturday.
Harvard co-captain Beth Zotter netted the golden goal in the extra period to give Penn its first Ivy League loss of the season.
Penn plays host to Stony Brook next Monday afternoon.
Yale (2-4-1, 1-1-1 Ivy) came back late in its match against Princeton on Saturday afternoon to earn a 2-2 tie.
Senior forward Theryn Gibbons scored both of the Bulldogs' goals against the Tigers and came within eight goals of Yale's all-time record of 39. She also earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors with her impressive showing against Princeton.
