This afternoon Dartboard was shocked to discover that the books for History 10b, for one, cost a total of $200. Rumor has it that a certain Moral Reasoning Core class dealing with East Asian philosophical systems demands a quantity of literature costing more than $150. If the current trend continues, Dartboard may spend over $1,000 on books this semester.
Course books or an exciting spring break on a tropical island? Dartboard decided that The Coop is the place to be during shopping period.
But the accumulated reading material will hinder Dartboard's social opportunities for the rest of the spring semester, and will make a warm destination this March beyond budget. Dartboard looks forward to another break at home reading Marx.
When calculating financial aid packages, the aid office estimates that students will spend under $500 per semester on books. That might cover one class, but we would be on academic probation if that's all we had to spend.
