Hench himself had an outstanding game. He gave the Crimson that halftime lead by collecting a through ball by Mclaughlin and beating Big Green goalie Matt Nyman at 17:44.
"Tommy gave me a great pass," Hench said. "I just ran onto the ball and put it home."
The hope that that goal created quickly became dashed. Almost metaphorically, it began to downpour during the second half.
"This game could've changed our entire season," Hench said. "We might have won the championship and even cracked the Top 25 ranking. Everyone's very disappointed."
