Men's Hockey Nipped By Cornell at Lynah

* Big Red spoils season opener by nabbing five goals

Harvard did manage one more goal--a short handed bid by junior Clayton Rodgers. Forechecking deep in the Big Red zone, Rodgers managed to poke the puck away form a Cornell defender and break down on Elliott. Rodger's tally with seven minutes remaining in the game brought Harvard to within three goals, but that would be as close as it would get.

""We need to put together 60 minutes and not just 55 or 50 minutes of good hockey," freshman Chris Bala said. "When we played the way we wanted to, we took it to them no doubt." CORNELL, 5-2 at Ithaca, N.Y. Harvard  1  0  1  --  2 Cornell  2  1  2  --  5
