"What we are doing is electing the person who will be president at the start of the next millennium," Cerny said.
"I realize how crucial '96 will be and how important it is to be involved in the elections in any way I can," Seth D. Hanlon '98 said.
Other students said they thought they learned about some jobs and activities, such as scheduling, which they had not considered before.
"It's certainly given me some idea of what to do," said Michael Becker, a first-year student at Amherst College.
"There are a lot of jobs out there I had never thought about," said Ellen M. Gulbrandsen, a first-year student at Wellesley College.
And one student said the conference inspired to her to get involved in presidential campaigning.
"I loved it. I learned a lot and it really inspired me. I think I'd love to be involved in campaigns," Sheila Warren '98 said
