National Champ Princeton to Give W. Lax Tough Test

Stanford

No, that's not a typo. Harvard's next Division I opponent is the Cardinal of Stanford--one of the few chances the Crimson has to play a team outside of the Eastern Time Zone.

The game will take place in Florida a week from tomorrow in a kind of unofficial round-robin tournament. Stanford and Harvard are the only Division I teams there, so it makes sense for them to play each other.

The other squads present will be Division III teams. From that group, Harvard will definitely face Middlebury (No.1 in its division) in a scrimmage and may face others for fun.

"Stanford is a new team," Shortsleeve said, "and they've been varsity for a couple of years. They're probably not going to be that tough."
