She's always the last player on and off the ice, and the last in line to shake hands after games, according to Stone.
To boot, Leitzes's inner focus is catchy.
"She's a strong player and a strong leader, and she helps hold the team together," junior A.J. Mleczko says.
Off the ice, Leitzes takes challenges upon herself as well. A premed English concentrator, she juggles organic chemistry requirements with poetry explications.
Leitzes is applying to medical schools right now, as well as aspiring to make the Olympic development camp.
Yet hours before the Crimson's first home game against Northeastern last Wednesday night, Leitzes's characteristic resolve was plain to the eye.
"My focus is on my last year at Harvard and my duty as captain," she said. "Harvard is my only focus right now."
