A Touch of the Poet. By Eugene O'Neill. Directed by Joe Dowling. Set in Boston during the last century, the play follows the career of a blustering Irish innkeeper forced to face the effect of his life illusions on his beloved family. The Improbable Players. A Theater troupe consisting of people in recovery from substance abuse, will perform several skits focusing on the issues surrounding alcohol and other drugs. Discussion follows. Emerson 105, 8 p.m.

Hell on a Platter. By Margaret Roberts. The story of Linda Patterson's dinner party, and elegant affair exploded by lunatic caterers, eccentric guests and an unexpected arrival. This wacky romantic comedy is peppered with a fabulous assortment of unique characters, making it a hilarious rendition of every hostess' nightmare. Loeb Experimental Theatre, 7:30. Free.

The Odd Couple. By Neil Simon. A few years ago, Neil Simon rewrote his hit comedy "The Odd Couple" for women. This is it. At least as funny as the original, it's about what happens when a neurotic, nearly separated woman with extremely anal tendencies moves in with a friend who prizes her life of creative disorder. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. By Clark Beiser. A day in the life of Charlie Brown. Join Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang in this hit musical featuring favorite songs like "Happiness," "Suppertime," and "The Book Report." The Guerrero Group Theatre presents Tiny Voices, five new short plays written and directed by Jordan Wine, including "The Misfit" which is based on a Flannery O'Conner story.
