Icewomen Falter in Beanpot, Lose Opening Game to Brown

Bears Take Place of Terriers and Edge Crimson, 2-1

But after two and a half periods of scoreless (and fairly colorless) hockey, Villiotte finally let one slip by. Bryant's low backhand through a crowd from 10 feet snuck past Villiotte on the glove side to finally light the lamp 47:23 into the game.

The Crimson fought back. Fresh man wing Stacy Kellogg got the puck to Alissi in the crease, and her stuff attempt got under Bear goalie Kate Presbrey to knot the score it one apiece.

But Brown charged back up the ice, and the charging Bears spelled only one thing for the Crimson: disaster.

Sophomore Andrea Boudreau put the puck on the net after a pretty rush.

Bryant was there to corral the puck and fire a shot through the maze of black, white, and crimson in front of the net past Villiotte.

And next year, the hockey spirits may decide it's time to smile on the Crimson. BROWN, 2-1 at Bright Hockey Center Brown  0  0  2  --  2 Harvard  0  0  1  --  1
