But not all undergraduate members felt theone-year delay was necessary.

"It throws the hot potato back into our hands.There will be more graduate pressure to not tovote to do this next year," said John K. Hill '94,a Fly Club member. "The graduates have weaseledtheir way out of this."

Hill also said he feared that members admittedthis year may not support integrating women intothe club and would derail the plans.

One member, who asked to remain anonymous, saidhe questioned the "true motivations of thegraduates."

"The procedural aspect could be a front simplyto delay the process and possibly lobby theundergraduates to make a different decision nextyear," he said.

But Logan said the questions raised by alumniconvinced him that "the best possible processwould be to have a careful and thoughtful plan forintegration."

Vogt said the new committee will study howwomen were integrated into social clubs of othercolleges such as Princeton. He said he welcomedadvice from the College, though the club has noplans to solicit recommendations
