The Big Green torched Harvard 86-70 at Briggs Cage and completed a season sweep of the Crimson.
Although Harvard boasts the league's top scorer in Tyler Rullman (22.4 point per game) and the Ancient Eight's assist leader in Tarik Campbell (5.4 assists per game), the Crimson just can't seem to find an Ivy win.
Maybe an out of league opponent would prove more cooperative. Harvard has its chance to find out as it hosts New Hampshire February 2--after exams.
NOTES: Columbia senior center Tom Casey and PennsyIvania sophomore Matt Maloney had to share Ivy League Player of the Week honors.
Casey had 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Lions over Cornell Saturday.
Maloney scored a college career high 37 points, shooting 8 for 10 from behind the three-point stripe, as the Quakers beat American University Wednesday,' 89-84 in OT...Pennsylvania and Princeton are still tied for first place in the Ivies...One of the Quakers two losses on the season is a six-point decision to Duke-killer Virginia, the only undefeated team in Division I basketball.
