Icemen Face RPI, Union at Bright

Mediocrity the Rule: Opponents Combine for 5-18-1 ECAC Record

Welcome to the ECAC

The Skating Dutchmen of Union are getting quite a harsh introduction to Division I hockey this year.

After leaving Division III hockey and joining the ECAC, Union has only managed to record one Division I win--a 2-1 overtime win on the road against Dartmouth. That win and an impressive 5-5 tie at Yale have been the only bright spots in what must be a very dark season.

The Skating Dutchmen are lead by their all-time leading scorer Captain Craig Ferrero (9-12--21), who had a goal and an assist in his team's close 7-5 loss to Harvard.

In goal, Union is worse off than the Engineers. Luigi Villa, who has started ten games, is a woeful 2-5-1. Second-stringer Mike Gallant is 0-6 in seven starts.
