"I don't think I did a very good job of defending the Boyce-(Kyle) McDonough line," Marsh said. "I get tired of watching those guys."
The Burlington section at the Garden was hooting and hollering, but not for long.
St. Lawrence lit the red light four minutes in the middle period on a power-play goal by Jamie Baker. Baker's 26th goal of the year gave the Saints a 3-1 lead.
"All year we've been successful with our power play," Lappin said. "And we were successful tonight."
The Cats scratched back on Jim Walsh's power-play tally with less than two minues left in the second period.
The hooting and hollering continued. But in the final period, the Cats began to stumble and bumble. Thanks to the Saint defense, led by McColgan, McGeough and the fine glovework of Cohen, who finished the game with 22 saves.
