Women Cagers 0-3

The Harvard women's basketball team is still winless after falling to Lafayette and Maine in the Harvard Women's Invitational Thanks giving weekend.

The 70-54 first-round defeat to Lafayette and the 84-50 setback at Maine's hands in the consolation round left the Crimson with an 0-3 mark. The cagers open their Ivy slate at Dartmouth tomorrow.

Harvard is an extremely young team, with only four players on the roster with two years of college experience. "That's what makes it exciting," says senior Co-Captain Nancy Boutilher. "We're not going to say it's a rebuilding year and then sacrifice this year."

The Crimson won its tournament last season, then finished with a 7-17 record. Boutilher says this season's setback is not a sign that this year's squad is worse than last year's. We keep upping our schedule," she says. "All three teams we've played nobody's been out of our league."
